MADE TO WORSHIP

Welcome to madetoworship.org, my prayer is that this website would be a resource for the local church, worship pastors and musicians.  Worship is something that encompasses our entire lives, we were created to worship God as a response to His marvelous revelation.  God's word tells us that its not a question of if we worship, but what we will choose to worship.  Paul’s tells us in his book to the Roman church that we are prone to "exchange the truth of God for a lie and worship created things rather than the Creator."  We have a choice, we can choose worship God or we can choose to commit idolatry and worship something else be it an item (consumerism), our duties (achievements), other people (dependence), our own longings and dreams (the future), or our sufferings (sin and hurt).  Paul goes on to tell us that worship is a response to God's unmerited grace and mercy.  We are called to worship with all that we are, as a way of life.

 

As we reflect on God's creation, on the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ, and His redeeming grace, our only response is to offer our lives back to God as a sacrifice of worship.  I believe that as worship pastors/leaders we are called to much more than just leading music.  We are called to be pastors, theologians, storytellers, liturgists, artists, creative’s, evangelist’s, and mirrors of God.  Music is the medium that we use to tell Gods story and share the good news of the gospel.  Our object of worship is important because we become what we worship.  Ultimately what or whom we worship shapes us and transforms us into its image.  We were created to be transformed and image God the creator of the universe and nothing else.  I pray that you find this website to be a resource in your ministry.
